I’ve been interested in houses for as long as I can remember. Growing up on a farm around an electrician, I was exposed to the trades early on, developing a lifelong curiosity about building science and home construction.

I served in the Army as a Cavalry Scout, where observation, attention to detail, and composure under pressure weren’t optional.

I later worked as a tradeshow technician, setting up complex videowall systems at large-scale events. That experience led me into producing professional training media designed to help installers achieve industry certification.

Each role taught me something valuable: how to work with complex systems, communicate technical information clearly, and pay close attention to the details. Home inspection gave me a way to combine those skills with my interest in how homes work.

Today, my goal is simple: to give you a clear, honest understanding of the home in front of you. I’m at my best when there’s pressure to get it right the first time.

Every home I inspect is evaluated with a methodical, system-by-system approach. I start with the roof and exterior, then work my way inside, evaluating rooms and interior components, appliances, electrical, plumbing, and major mechanicals, eventually ending up in the attic.

A great inspection isn’t about creating panic or handing over an intimidating list of defects. It’s about giving you clear, balanced answers so you understand what’s going on with the home and why it matters.

I’m here to help you look beyond the listing and understand what you’re buying. As an InterNACHI® Certified Professional Inspector (CPI®), I bring a technical mindset, a commitment to continued education, and a straightforward approach to every inspection.

Frequently Asked Questions

I limit myself to one inspection per day. By dedicating an entire day to a single property, you get my complete, undivided attention from the moment I arrive, to the final paragraph in your report.

There’s no rushing to finish one inspection so I can get to the next. I have the time to inspect carefully, answer your questions, document my findings thoroughly, and deliver the level of service I believe a home inspection deserves.

I will make my best effort to walk every roof I can. I believe boots-on-the-roof to be the gold standard for a proper roof inspection. There are exceptions, though: metal roofs are inherently dangerous, as well as those with an overly steep pitch, around a 7:12 slope. In the event that I can’t safely walk the roof (and if FAA-regulated airspace permits), I will pilot my drone to ensure your roof gets inspected.

Absolutely. I make my best effort to inspect the entirety of all accessible areas of the home. Limitations do exist, such as having no safe or visible place to step while observing an attic, or restricted access to a crawlspace hatch. Some crawlspaces simply lack proper clearance to safely maneuver. I want to be upfront about the realities I encounter from day to day. However, most of the time, these spaces are able to be accessed and inspected.

When I encounter a major defect, my priority is clear and calm communication. I document the finding with well-lit high-resolution photos, and I make sure to walk you through it directly so you can see exactly what is happening. I explain the mechanics of the problem, what it means for the home, and what professional should evaluate it next.

While most of my clients are buyers, getting an inspection before you put your home on the market is a powerful tool for sellers. A pre-listing inspection lets you identify and address defects before a buyer’s inspector comes and finds them. It helps you price the property accurately, eliminates surprise repair demands during negotiations, and shows prospective buyers that you are transparent and proactive about the condition of your home.

My support does not end after I send you the report. Buying a home is complex, and you might not process every single detail during our initial walkthrough or while reading the report that evening. You are always welcome to call or text with questions about specific findings, maintenance tips, or contractor recommendations long after the inspection is complete. I am here to be a resource for you for as long as you own the home.

You are more than welcome to attend, but I ask that you allow me to concentrate during the inspection itself. I need to focus entirely on evaluating the home, and noting defects. The best time for us to connect will be at the beginning of the inspection, and then during the final walkthrough at the end, where we will go over every finding together on-site so you get all of your questions answered.
